This morning our classroom was transformed into a television studio! Mr. Gates set up the green screen and collaborated with students to film their TV commercials. It was fabulous! Not only did we learn about new technology, but these are the BEST commercials ever! Please check them out below the post.
We completed our Probability unit today by going over the Applications, Connections, and Extensions problems together. We also began our next unit...Discrete Math unit. Students learned a little about what discrete math involves and practiced coloring maps using as few colors as possible. For homework they will finish numbering the last map and color at least one.
Commercial production took a bit longer than expected, so we didn't have time to create Rocket Cars today in science, but it will be our first activity next week! Students will review Newton's Laws for homework by watching two videos and listing examples in their Science Journals. This assignment is posted in the Google Classroom.
Ask your child what she/he learned today about the inventor Clarence Birdseye from our "I Is For Invention" alphabet book. He definitely had a moment of genius!
Finally, we are on our last container of Clorox wipes. If you can send one in, it will be greatly appreciated!
