In Math Mystery Tour, we reviewed decimals, ratios, and how to change a fraction to a decimal. Students learned about The Golden Ratio, loved so much by the Ancient Greeks, and began measuring a picture of a Greek statue to discover this proportion in the art. It can be a little frustrating to measure to the nearest millimeter but they're doing it! We will continue this next time.
And of course we had our Marble Jar celebration. Students enjoyed pizza, chips, cookies, drinks, and most importantly each other's company. There was lots of laughter and camaraderie. Thanks so much to Mrs. Trueblood for bringing the pizza and helping with the celebration and thanks to everyone who sent in something. Now the question is...will they be able to fill their jar up one more time? Only a few STRIDE groups have been able to do this. We shall see!
The only homework this week is to watch a short video posted in the Google Classroom and take notes using a Tree Map.
