I had so many favorite moments. One was when Grandma Stamps talked to the children about her writing and how she started when she was two and why she chose poetry. Another was when she pulled out a pen that my son Jacob gave her when he was in the third grade and said he told her it was "short and round like her". It's out of ink but she still keeps it. He had forgotten, but not Grandma Stamps. Ask your child about her/his favorite moment.
If your child is interested in purchasing a copy of Grandma Stamps book, we can order any time and she will sign and ship to WHR. The cost is $25, $20 for the book and $5 for shipping.
Thanks so much for all of your support of this event! A special thanks to The Williford Family, The Hall Family, The Gliniak Family, The Monroe Family, and The Pope Family for providing cake, cupcakes, ginger ale, punch, and cups for us and The Hill family for coming by to see if we needed extra help. Also, be sure to tell Mrs.Roach and the office staff thanks when you see them. Mrs. Roach paid for lunch for Grandma Stamps and her family and Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Bowers, and Mrs. Wynn made sure it was set up beautifully.
I'm not sure who will write first, but I know there will be more letters before the end of the school year!
