I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season! Our STRIDE time before Christmas Break was spent writing letters and learning all about Shakespeare. Grandma Stamps' second set of letters arrived. Students attempted to read them on their own, then I read the cursive for them as needed. They were so excited to hear from her and to write her back.
Students spent the rest of our day working in Shakespeare
Yesterday we picked up where we left off with students completing the Shakespeare stations and sharing the most interesting things they learned. I also introduced the Creative Person Project. This is the culminating project for our unit, and it's not due until January 24th. For homework this week students will choose their people and share the guidelines with you. They may submit their choices through a Google Form posted in the Google Classroom, email, or they can wait and bring them next week. They will also fill out their MOG Charts on Shakespeare using the knowledge they've gained and a video about his life, also posted in the Google Classroom.
Thank you so much for all of the gifts and treats you sent me. You are so kind and thoughtful!
I hope you are staying warm and enjoying the snow. Maybe we'll get to have a whole STRIDE day next week!
