In Marketing students received an introduction to how ad agencies work. Next they learned how our Marketing Firm Simulation will work. They will collaborate in teams of 3-4 to create a marketing campaign for one of the Invention Convention products. At the end of the year, each firm will present the campaign they designed at our "Product Pitch Palooza". Students formed teams and decided on the name for their advertising firms. They began work on their logos. Students who want their inventions to be considered as "clients" will need to fill out the "Product Pitch" for homework. These will be used next week as firms select the product/client for their campaigns. We also played a few rounds of Marketing Bingo to familiarize students with the vocabulary terms. Students had lots of fun!
Week 23 ended with Marble Jar celebrations for excellent behavior. Wednesday enjoyed Pizza Bingo and Thursday celebrated with Technology and Pi Day. Both groups enjoyed the beautiful weather outside as well. See below for a some photos.
The only required homework this week is the math measuring. The "Product Pitch" and logo are students' choice.
Look for unit evaluations soon, either this Wednesday or next.
